11 October Roboteers, Standby...for another wars!
The BBC have announced today that they have recommissioned the Robot Wars revival for another 6 episodes. Dara O'Briain and Angela Scanlon will be returning as hosts as well as commentator Jonathan Pearce.

You're Back in the Room
7 October You're Back in the axe
ITV has announced today that the hypnotic You're Back in the Room with Phillip Schofield has been axed after two series. Viewing figures from the second series slipped by a quarter - to just over 3 million - and producers struggled to find suitable celebrity names who were keen to make a fool of themselves.

Taskmaster
3 October Your time starts now
Tomorrow is the start of the third series of Taskmaster, which was not supposed to be shown until 2017, but was brought forward after the second series received a positive reception. Dave, the channel showing Taskmaster, has recommissioned the show for series 4 and 5, which are due to be filmed next year. Both of these series will have an extended run of 8 episodes.

The Apprentice
16 September You're Hired in the Firing Line Mr. Gilbert
Rhod Gilbert has been announced as the new host of The Apprentice spin-off programme You're Fired! after Jack Dee fired himself from the BBC2 vehicle after only one series. Romesh Ranganathan, who was a regular panellist in the last series will not return due to scheduling conflicts.

The Great British Bake Off
13 September We've had the most amazing time on Bake Off
Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins have announced that they will not follow The Great British Bake Off to Channel 4. They will step down as hosts after the current series on the BBC. Mel and Sue said in a statement: "We made no secret of our desire for the show to remain where it was... we're not going with the dough."
