The BBC has delayed this week's Celebrity Race Across the World, originally scheduled for Wednesday 13 September. A BBC spokesperson said, "In light of the earthquake in Morocco we have taken the decision to postpone the first episode of Celebrity Race Across the World, which was filmed in Marrakesh. We'll update new schedule details shortly."
Who Wants to be a Millionaire? will return in early 2024. A series was recorded in February; originally intended for broadcast in 2023, scheduling conflicts with the men's Rugby World Cup meant there was no room that year, and a celebrity special was planned but cancelled due to host Jeremy Clarkson's offensive remarks about Meghan Markle.
ITV have announced that they have commissioned a second series of Riddiculous. The new series will be filmed later in the year and will air in early 2024. Series 2 will consist of 25 episodes.
Legendary talk show host Michael Parkinson passed away yesterday at the age of 88. In the world of British game shows, he is best known for hosting the charades folly Give Us a Clue and the 90s revival of the antiques guessing show Going for a Song.
TaP Music will not collaborate with the BBC to find the UK entry for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. The talent company found Sam Ryder for the 2022 contest; after his song made second place, TaP was again contracted for the contest in Liverpool. Mae Muller's song was less successful, finishing second to last.
