The very embodiment of the phrase "a safe pair of hands". Reasonably telegenic in a nondescript kind of way and always professional and clinically well-prepared, he's one of those presenters who turns up all over the place, but somehow you can't imagine anyone ever saying "hey, that show's got Mark Durden-Smith on it - let's watch!". For a time, he appeared to be [[Tara Palmer-Tomkinson]]'s TV sidekick, until the latter's recent death.
