Natasha Kaplinsky graduated in English from Hertford College, Oxford, and worked in the Labour Party press office for several years before joining Meridian TV as their early morning newsreader in 1997. She soon moved on to presenting the station's main evening news programme, before moving to London and hosting ''London Tonight'' and ''Seven Days''.
