Synopsis

Tony Wilson hosted this late night knockout contest to try and find Granadaland's brainiest footy fan with the best knowledge of football in the North West and beyond, initially as Masterfan on Manchester United's MUTV station before moving to regional ITV as Soccer Brain 2000. But it wasn't light-hearted knockabout fare - this programme seemed to be aimed at a more intellectual type of fan, which made a very nice change from what you normally seen on football quizzes. Think Mastermind, only specialised.

Seems it stretched to a second series. Guess what that was called.
