International

Another week, another massive football match on Deutsche-sprachen telly. The men's Champions League final is free to watch on ZDF, so none of the other major broadcasters bother - RTL puts out a glorified clip show to mark their 38th anniversary. NDR hosts Quiz ohne Grenzen - "Quiz without Borders" - with pop star Rea Garvey playing for Ireland.

A new run of Jauch gegen Lichter, featuring Bares für Rares host Horst Lichter and his hand-picked team against quiz giant Günther Jauch (RTL, Mon). Pro7 kicks off a new series of Beauty and the Nerd (Thu).

Football fills Saturday night on TF1 as well, so Francophone channels don't bother with big games. F2's usual games continue to be pre-empted by live tennis. We do have a new series of Burger Quiz (TMC, Wed).

For Dutch viewers, Domino challenge is back on RTL4 (Sat), and Vier is te veel (SBS6, Sun) requires unanimity amongst the contestants, but two will be voted off. Sounds very 2002!
