TV Guide 2022-10-01

All sorts of cavorting on the Beeb. Strictly Come Dancing starts its vote-offs (BBC1, Sat and Sun). Young Musician of the Year holds its delayed 2022 competition (BBC4, nightly Sun-Thu). Unbreakable (2) with Rob Beckett (BBC1, Thu) has the feel of an executive awayday planned by that over-intense greasy-pole-climber from sales.

Black History Month means the annual return of Sorry, I Didn't Know (ITV, Sun). The Big Blow Out (E4, Mon) finally gives us the hairdressing challenge. Portrait Artist of the Year returns (Artsworld, Wed).

International

Who is The Genius? The Korean format generated a lot of buzz in the early 2010s, then seemed to vanish for a while. Dead? No, merely resting. It's back on Dutch channel NPO3 on Monday, though no word on streaming via bvn.tv.

French viewers might want The Voice Kids (TF1, Sat) or the last in the present series of 100% Logique (F2, Sat), or a new series of Battlebots: le choc des robots (Gulli, Sat). All at the same time.

The Masked Singer returns to Pro7 (Sat). Monday's a national holiday in Germany, Wer wird Millionär? is on RTL, another edition on Tuesday. There's a primetime Bares für Rares (ZDF, Wed). Love is King on Pro7 (Thu) has one princess and a number of dream-men. Yes, it's The Bachelor done in a mediaeval castle, and hosted by drag queen Olivia Jones.
