Synopsis

Not Tony Hawk the skateboarder of course, but if it was it would still be more entertaining... probably.

This then is Have I Got Adverts For You. More apt titles for the show would include The Best Show In The World... Ha! We're Being Sarcastic 'or The Best Show In The World... Is Fort Boyard (Or Crystal Maze, Let's Not Have A Domestic).

What TV people seem to fail to grasp is that what makes Have I Got News for You great is it's sharpness and the relationship/slagging off between the three main protaganists. The news is just a catalyst really for the comedy, but nonetheless everyone knows and understands what is going on in the world. Same as music does for Never Mind the Buzzcocks, and to a gradually lesser extent sport for They Think it's All Over. Adverts on the other hand miaght be memorable but they're not important.

Rounds included questions about old advertisements, trying to sell a mystery object which the teams didn't actually know what they did, and a fill-in-the-blank round for tourist campaign slogans (e.g. Clywd - so much more than ____, the comedy response to which is probably 'sheep').

We'd go as far to say that this was less memorable than Bob Mills' What The Bloody Hell Is This, a show we can't even remember the actual title for (you mean Not a Lot of People Know That - Ed).
