Synopsis
If you could get Davina McCall to ask anybody out for you, and you could get her to ask literally anybody, who would it be? Well, we wouldn't have any problems with the lovely Davina in the first place but never mind.
Now, looks aren't everything but if this show is anything to go by, they sure damn help. Davina travels to various bits of the country looking for someone who is single and up for a date. When she finds someone, they go around town eyeing up the local totty. When he/she thinks they've found someone they'd like to go out on a date with, Davina will go up and ask them if they are single and up for it. If so then that's fantastic, they'll go on a date the next evening. If not they'll just go and find somebody else.
That's basically it apart from the build up to and the date itself, both of which are filmed in the youth-TV 'art' style. Sometimes they like each other and sometimes they will not. That's it really.
There have been a few themed episodes: Skimate, Beachmate, Carribeanmate, Lutonhighstreetmate etc.
