Biography

Disc jockey who learnt his trade while on national service with British Forces Broadcasting in Germany. He later returned to them as a civilian, before getting his big break in 1957, presenting on Radio Luxembourg alongside the likes of Keith Fordyce and Pete Murray. Like them, he was also one of the original Radio 1 line-up in 1967.
