Biography
A graduate of Ysgol Gysun Gymraeg Glantas, Gethin Clifford Jones studied at Manchester Metropolitan University, played rugby for Lancashire, and was offered professional trials by Sale RFC. He eventually joined S4C's burgeoning children's department, hosting magazine show Uned 5, for which he learned to fly.
This experience led inevitably to a date on Blue Peter, where he replaced Simon Thomas in 2005. There was very little Geth wouldn't do in his three years on BP; flying with the Red Arrows, completing a 30-mile yomp with the army, and fighting as a Samurai warrior. Gethin is also a keen musician, he achieved Grade 8 on the violin, played at a BBC Prom, and presented the 2008 Young Musician programmes.
Gethin finished third in the 2007 Strictly Come Dancing contest, and appeared in such diverse productions as Jones Jones Jones (a successful attempt to gather the most people with one surname), and Doctor Who (a science-fiction drama).
Trivia
If he were a character from a musical, he would like to be Simba from The Lion King.
He was voted Bachelor of the Year by a women's magazine in 2005.
