Biography
Former footballer (for Crystal Palace and Arsenal). He is the televisual epitome of the blokish South Londoner, which may explain why the BBC spent a humungous amount of money to lure him away from ITV.
Trivia
He was Arsenal's all-time greatest goalscorer for years, until his record was beaten by Thierry Henry in October 2005.
