Synopsis

A musical competition, open to solo performers, duos, groups, choirs. Five acts perform each night.

The top two performers are told they're in the top two. They can choose to "cash out" with a chunk of money, or "walk the line" and play on. Should the performer stay in and top the leaderboard, they will then progress to the next show, facing a different cast of performers.

The longer the performers can stay in the contest, the bigger the prize pot. Each night, the reigning champion is offered an even higher cash out prize, culminating in £500,000 for the live final.

ITV's press releases all mentioned how this is a "high-octane" format, all about how the contestants can handle pressure without detonating. Gary Barlow, Dawn French, Craig David, and Alesha Dixon offer advice / encouragement / critiques.

This programme has not yet aired. A full review will appear here after broadcast.
