Biography
Big-voiced actor nowadays known as much for appearing on TV as (a caricature of) himself as for his many serious and comedic roles, which have included parts in Z Cars, I, Claudius, The Black Adder and My Family and Other Animals. He's also famed for his mountaineering exploits and has attempted Everest three times.
Trivia
York University's student union passed a resolution in 2011, mandating the institution to rename one of its study spaces "The Brian Blessed Centre for Quiet Study".
