Biography
Australian-born singer who forsook opera for comic songs and roles in musical theatre, but was probably best known as a quick-witted panellist on Twenty Questions for nearly three decades. She also hosted the women's discussion programme Petticoat Line, which she co-devised with Ian Messiter.
