Biography
Despite originally training as an actor (at RADA, no less), Brian Matthew is better known as a long-serving DJ on BBC radio, initially working on the Light Programme where - in the pre-pirate radio days - his Saturday Club was one of the few outlets for pop music on British radio and played host to all the big names of the day.
