Synopsis

"The UK's first quiz show on ice", promised the ITV press office. "A game of skill and quizzing ability, it sees contestants competing around a giant circular ice table."

In the show, contestants answer questions to win 'sliders' they glide onto the ice table. Graphics are projected onto the table to create game boards, up to six metres in diameter.

For some rounds, the challenge is to land sliders on targets. In others they smash opponent's sliders out of the way. The last player after four rounds takes on the end game and a possible prize of £10,000.

"Freeze Out is essentially a brand new sport", say the makers. Turnabout is fair play.
