Julia Bradbury
Biography
Born in Ireland to a Greek mother and English father, Julia Bradbury grew up in Sheffield and worked for a while in her mother's fashion business before becoming a presenter on small cable channels. She got her big break in 1996 when she became GMTV's Los Angeles correspondent, and went on to present various entertainment/gossip-type programmes.
Nowadays she's best known for presenting the consumer affairs show Watchdog (with Nicky Campbell) and is carving a niche as an outdoor pursuits type, with the fell-walking programme Wainwright Walks and more recently the Ultimate Rock Climb special for a BBC season on ways of enjoying the great outdoors (most of which seemed to involve a high risk of serious injury, for some reason).
Trivia
She used to work on the infamous L!VE TV before transferring to terrestrial.
