Mark Radcliffe
Biography
Long-serving DJ whose first radio job was (according to his entry in Debrett's People Of Today, at any rate), four years as lavatory attendant at Piccadilly Radio in Manchester. In the eighties he had spells as a producer at Radio 1, Head of Music at Piccadilly again and senior producer at BBC Radio Manchester, finally launching himself as a presenter on Radio 1 in 1991. Has a "cult" following.
