Who's Reading What and with Whom

Theatre luvvie and satirist whose finest hour was devising television's first successful satirical revue, That Was The Week That Was (featuring a tyro David Frost, as well as Willie Rushton and Lance Percival). He presented the Radio 4 music quiz Counterpoint for over 20 years.

He died from complications of throat cancer on 1 October 2007.

He devised and presented We Interrupt This Week, a short-lived satirical quiz show for PBS in America.

Also produced a 1972 film called Rentadick. Let's not go there.

Mark Nyman's on-screen career is thanks to Sherrin getting his recording dates mixed up.
