Biography

Bolton-born stand-up comic who rose to fame appearing with Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, and advertising a popular chain of high street bakeries. Following his almost-triumphant turn with Leigh Francis in Let's Dance for Comic Relief in 2009, he fronted the 2010 Sport Relief revival of We are the Champions. Nowadays best known for matchmaking show Take Me Out and being one third of the post-post-Clarkson Top Gear team.
