Synopsis
Two teams, given identical starter vehicles and £2000 each, are challenged to do some drastic modifications to meet that week's goal. Essentially, it's all about transforming one kind of vehicle into another. The challenges are often quite amusing - like extending a Mini to carry as many people as possible, which resulted in something more akin to a float with bits of Mini at each end. There's a final test at the end, but most of the time the interest lies as much in how bizarre the finished vehicles look, as who happens to perform best in the finale.
The episodes were:
- Hearses into dune racers
- Renault Rialtos into dragsters
- Escort vans into gravity racers
- Minis into minibuses
- Transit vans into rally racers
- "Flatpack Beetle" (we can only guess)
- Range Rovers into NASCAR-style racers
