Synopsis
Pop-music themed phone-in quiz. Most memorable game: Shoot the Pianist, in which the object was to identify a well-known song from an excruciatingly bad rendering by the titular ivory-tinkler.
Other, less well-remembered, rounds included the Decade Challenge (questions on a given decade); the Specialist Subject; and Connect Five (linking the five records played during the show).
The show flitted between Tuesday and Wednesday night during 1991 and '92, and was given a regular Friday night slot after the 1992 Olympics. It bit the dust when the station relaunched as Five Live. Sister programme Sportscall was more fortunate.
