Synopsis

Initially, countryside chat formatted as a panel game. The second series dropped the quiz element and by the third, it had turned into something we would recognise today as a forerunner of Countryfile. With the "game" element now firmly consigned to history, the new format continued into the 1980s under the revised title of In the Country.
