Biography

Former British women's tennis number 1, not that that's saying much. Her best win was the French Open in 1976, along with 14 other singles titles. For some time she worked for Australian television before coming to the BBC via Sky. She presents much of the BBC's sporting output including Wimbledon, Grandstand and the Olympics. She took over the mantle of presenting A Question of Sport from David Coleman in 1997.

Trivia

She won $878,701 during her tennis career.

Reputedly once had Peter Pan-like singing star Cliff Richard as her paramour.

Appointed CBE in the 2021 Queen's birthday honours.
