Singing shows do battle on Saturday night: The Voice UK (BBC1) and Stars in Their Eyes (ITV) both begin at 7. There's the out-takes show Famous Family Misfortunes (ITV, 7pm Sun), and Celebrity Big Brother continues all week (C5, 5*, and MTV).

  • Pop Idle Us (3e, 4pm) Keith Urban, Harry Connick Jr, Jennifer Lopez, and Scott Borchetta (he works with Taylor Swift, folks). We don't think any UK broadcaster has this show.


  • Pointless Celebrities (BBC1 5.20) Celeb medics, a repeat from 19 April last year.
  • BBC The Voice of Holland of UK (BBC1, 7pm) On the Amazing Spinning Chairs this year are Tom, Ricky,, and Rita Ora.
  • Stars In Their Eyes (ITV, 7pm; also UTV Ireland) Harry Hill brings back the smoking doors, the Not Live Final, and some otters.
  • The Algorithm (TV3, 8pm).
  • Take Me Out (ITV, 8.05).
  • The Million Euro Challenge (RTE1, 8.10) Nicky Byrne offers one lucky player the chance to play for One Million Euro.
  • Win Your Wish List (BBC1, 8.30).
  • Celebrity Big Brother (C5, 9pm 10pm). The show moved one hour later after Jeremy Jackson was invited to leave the set.
