Biography
Stand-up comic probably best known for his collaborations with David Baddiel, namely the TV series Fantasy Football League and Baddiel and Skinner Unplanned and the number one smash hit single Three Lions.
Trivia
Also stood in as team captain on an episode of Have I Got News for You in 2008 when Paul Merton was ill.
Like fellow Brummie Adrian Chiles, Skinner is somewhat well known for his love of West Bromwich Albion FC.
His real name is Chris Collins but when he got his Equity card he had to pick a different stage name as they already had a Chris Collins on their books, so he "borrowed" the name Frank Skinner from a member of his dad's dominoes team.
One Three Lions skit, issued on a Euro 96 compilation album, features Baddiel and Skinner performing less-than-complimentary lyrics about Bruce Forsyth and Play Your Cards Right. ("Standing at the back / In the shade like a prat / With his fist on his forehead...")
