Brummie journalist originally known for fronting the weekday economics programme Working Lunch, before branching out into other areas, notably sports presenting on Match of The Day 2, and fronting BBC One's lousily-titled current affairs magazine The ONE Show, originally alongside Nadia Sawalha, briefly with Myleene Klass, and most successfully with Christine Bleakley.

In April 2010 he defected to ITV, to present amongst other things the channel's World Cup football coverage, and GMTV's successor Daybreak. Christine Bleakley joined him on the early-morning programme, but poor viewing figures meant both were fired after fifteen months. Sorry, we mean "allowed to focus on peak-time commitments".
