Born in January 1976, Emma Bunton first came to public attention in the mid-1990's as one-fifth of the world's biggest girl group, the Spice Girls. After several years of chart success in the group, "Baby Spice", as she was commonly known, followed her fellow Spice Girls in embarking on a solo career, the highlight of which was reaching number one with "What Took You So Long?" in April 2001.
