Biography
Actor and writer who got his break as a foil to Kenneth Williams in revue and came to wider fame performing topical calypsos on That Was The Week That Was. He was also in various comedy films including Carry On Cruising, all three Up Pompeii films and a voice role in Yellow Submarine.
Trivia
Before Dudley Moore's definitive interpretation of the role, he played the one-legged prospective Tarzan in the "One Leg Too Few" sketch opposite Kenneth Williams in the 1961 revue One Over The Eight.
