Biography

Pianist, harpist, violinist and, erm, singist who - after some success on the West End - became one of the Chosen Five to form Hear'Say, the manufactured pop band in Popstars. Despite the group imploding under its own hype, she made a decent fist of carving out her own classical music career and keeping her hand in on TV with a presenting gig on CD:UK. In the 2020s, she has released several volumes of piano "lullabies" including a jungle-themed selection that came out just after she was crowned "I'm a Celebrity... Legend" on the I'm a Celebrity...South Africa series. Now that's what we call synergy.

Trivia

Her grandmother was an opera singer.

One of her fans had set up an Alan Partridge-like shrine in their house, and even sent her a wedding dress in the post.

Her interest in astronomy has led to her popping up on various shows to tell us about the planets and so forth. Fair enough, but she's no Brian May.

She and her sometime CD:UK co-host Lauren Laverne are godmothers to each other's children.
