Biography

London-born journalist, TV producer and presenter, particularly famous for being the guiding hand behind youth strands including Network 7 and Def II. She was also involved in the ill-fated L!VE TV channel, and was editor of the Independent on Sunday from 1999 to 2002.

Trivia

She was a contributor to the series, "Britain's Favourite View", in which she talked about her personal favourite, namely Bamburgh in Northumberland. This became one of the viewers' top four choices, but, despite Street-Porter's vehement arguments in Bamburgh's favour, the eventual winner was Wastwater, much to her disappointment.
