Biography
Hard-working stand-up comedian who got his TV break hosting children's programmes in his native Ireland (a phase of his career he later nominated to go into Room 101). Later he became a team captain on the Irish equivalent of Have I Got News for You, Don't Feed The Gondolas.
With a growing reputation as a live act, Ó Briain's first major UK television role was as compere of the stand-up showcase Live Floor Show, before a spot as guest host on HIGNFY propelled him into the mainstream.
Most recently, Ó Briain has been seen in the travelogue Three Men In A Boat and science programmes Stargazing Live and Dara Ó Briain's Science Club. He also hosted the RTE Two discussion show, The Panel.
