Synopsis

If Vote for Me was the political Pop Idol (and if we say it was, then it was, OK?), then Election may be the political Apprentice. Or The Sorcerer's Apprentice, at any rate. Ten children, aged 11 to 14, are given various political campaign-related tasks, their performance is appraised by a panel of judges, and one is booted off each week. Who goes? Jonathan Dimbleby decides. So much for democracy, then. The winner gets to present their manifesto to Gordon Brown, who will not implement any part of it.
