The British arm of the company produced programmes from 1987 onwards, specialising in game shows.
In 2006, the company was merged with Crackerjack Productions to form FremantleMedia Australia. However, the name Grundy still exists in Germany as Grundy Light Entertainment and in Italy as Grundy Productions Italy.
